ABOUT
Suprematism, glitch, fractured
Biography
VELVET is a Ukrainian digital artist investigating the boundary between order and error, memory and distortion, signal and noise. In this practice, glitch is not a malfunction - it is a method: a way of exposing the hidden structures of data, emotion, and digital consciousness. Working exclusively with custom-built generative systems, VELVET transforms fractured information into visual narratives where new forms emerge through chaos - tracing a line from the geometric reduction of Suprematism to the digital decay of the present.

Philosophy
VELVET is an investigation of the boundary between order and error, memory and distortion, digital consciousness and noise. Glitch here is not a technical failure - it is an artistic instrument: a way of exposing the hidden structures of data, of emotion, of the processes running beneath the surface of every image.
The practice moves along a single spectrum. At one end - the architecture of calm: symmetry that breathes, an order in which there is a place for mystery. At the other - total noise: figures dissolving into scanlines, bodies remembered by damaged data. Every work is a coordinate on this line between the two, tracing a lineage that runs from the geometric reduction of Suprematism to the digital decay of the present.
Nothing here mourns the error. When a signal breaks, it does not disappear - it changes state. Information becomes ruin, ruin becomes ornament, ornament becomes prayer. The works ask a simple question: what survives the breaking, and what is only born because of it?
Creative process
Every system behind these works is written by hand. No off-the-shelf filters, no borrowed pipelines - custom generative engines built from scratch, line by line, the way the works themselves are built pixel by pixel. The tool is not a means to the work; the tool is the first work in every series.
The engines are strictly deterministic: one seed - one world, reproducible to the last pixel. The HEXFIELD engine runs thirty-two simultaneous pixel deformations over a single seed-driven field; other systems compose displacement, recursion, and controlled decay. Chance is allowed in, but only through a door with a number on it.
This discipline is a collector's guarantee as much as an aesthetic one: each piece is the verifiable output of a system, minted with its history intact - from the first line of code to the final frame on chain.
